Changes to my study programme

 Hello everyone, today I am going to talk about the changes I would like to make in my program of study.

 I am currently studying social work and I really like the study plan we have because it covers many topics in a general way, which can be applied in different social phenomena, so it is quite complete, although I admit that I would like to have more specific subjects with respect to some issues, but without falling into welfarism since we must intervene without generating targeted solutions.

Respect the academic load, in this modality in which we are studying due to the context, I would like to decrease the academic load or be more flexible in some aspects, because many classmates have connectivity problems, plus it is very tiring to be on the computer many hours a day and lately mental health has deteriorated a lot in students because of the pandemic of covid-19

Finally, in relation to the infrastructure of the university, personally I do not have much to say because I have not had the chance to know the faculty very well, I only went once before the pandemic started and I have seen it in some pictures, I know it is big and spacious and has many spaces to share, Although I have not seen that it has many green areas, I do not know if it has them, but if not, I would like them to be implemented because they are spaces that can be shared and I personally feel that they are very useful to students as they are a space to disconnect with the university stress and serve to enjoy and relax with classmates and friends.

TIME TRAVEL TO THE FUTURE

Hello everyone:

This last time I dream of traveling. For me the 2 years of pandemic and confinement have been very stressful.

I remember the first few days baking cookies, cakes, watching movies and series, but then it got boring.

Last summer we traveled by plane to San Pedro de Atacama, the weather is very hot, I don't like it.  

This summer I traveled to Licanray with my brother and my dad. We traveled by car for almost 12 hours!!! but it was a nice family vacation, we went trekking, swam at the beach, visited restaurants and ate a lot.  

I really like to travel to the south of Chile, the south has beautiful landscapes and every time I travel to the south, I can find my favorite animal, the cow. 

This summer vacation I would like to travel to the south again and visit Frutillar. I have seen pictures on instagram of that place and it is a really beautiful town, it can even seem like it is another country. 

I would also like to travel to the beach with my university friends. Our plans are to stay for a week at Cristobal's house. 

I think it would be a lot of fun because we would have no classes or responsibilities for a time hahaha. 

We could swim at the beach, play cards, listen to music and drink lots of beer. 

My future Job

 Hello everyone, today I am going to talk about what I am currently studying and how I imagine my future career.

 I am currently in my third year of social work and I have 2 years left to finish my career, I honestly do not know very well what I want to work in the future, I just know that I want to work with children because I like it very much and I also feel that childhood is one of the most important stages of life, so they should start this initial stage with dignity and rights. 

For this reason I imagine myself working in a non-profit NGO or in schools.

 Regarding the salary, the truth is I don't have such high expectations, I just hope it will be a salary that will allow me to live, meet my basic needs and maybe even travel from time to time. 

Also, when I finish my degree I would like to work in my country, because I feel that Chile is a country that needs interventions in order to aspire to give its inhabitants a better quality of life, although I would like to be able to complement my studies with diplomas or master's degrees in other countries.

The best concert ever

Hi everyone! the 4th of April 2017 was the best concert of my life, because it was my first concert in my life and of my favourite band “the 1975” 

It’s an alternative rock band and they are 4 guys frim Manchester: Matty (vocals), Adam (guitar), George (drums) and Ross (bass).

I still remember that day, as if it was yesterday, the concert was at the movistar arena and I went with a friend after finishing school , we were both very excited because it was our first concert, there was a huge line of people waiting for the doors to open and we waited many hours that day to get in.

I also remember, when the concert started, the audience was very dispersed because there were many excited girls and the vocalist spoke to call to keep calm.

The end of the concert was very amazing because, they played the song we were all waiting for and everyone jumped so excited!

Now I am waiting for the Karol G's concert.🤩

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

 

 Hello everyone! My name is Bárbara , since I was child I have dreamed of visiting France because it has beautiful cities like Paris.

I really know little about France, but I would like to learn  it someday, also I do know that it's characterized by important historical moments for example: the history of the monarchy, the French Revolution, the protests in May 1968, etc. 

I would like to visit art and fashion galleries, learn about your culinary culture, past history, visit the Eiffel Tower and would attend tours.

I would like to study in France,  specifically in the city of Paris, I think I could learn more about its history, its culture and also visit its beautiful places.

Also, if I could live permanently in the future, I would do it, because it's something, I have always dream and especially if I find a job that is stable. 

I really like France very much and I would like to learn more about it because I find it very interesting and amazing.
